Tasks:
Design, implement, and maintain tools and workflows that empower artists and improve production efficiency.
Develop and optimize game features in Unreal Engine, while troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
Collaborate closely with character art, material art, development art, UI, animation, and engineering teams to support both proprietary and third-party tools (Unreal Engine, 3ds Max, Maya, Blender, Substance Painter, etc.).
Conduct R&D to identify new techniques and pipelines that enhance both visual fidelity and performance.
Create and maintain clear documentation for tools, pipelines, and best practices.
Optimize assets, shaders, and rendering setups to balance performance and visuals.
Support VFX workflows and contribute to high-quality effects creation as needed.
Collaborate in cross-functional teams, proactively communicate progress, and provide technical guidance to artists.
Mentor junior team members and share knowledge across the team.
Skill-set:
4+ years of experience as a Technical Artist in game development (preferably AAA or high-quality PC/console projects).
Proven expertise in Python and Unreal Engine Blueprints for tools, automation, and gameplay integration.
Proven experience with Unreal Engine 5 pipelines, shaders, materials, and optimization.
Hands-on experience with cloth simulation and physics systems in Unreal Engine.
Solid understanding of art workflows (modeling, texturing, rigging, animation, rendering).
Ability to diagnose performance bottlenecks and propose technical solutions.
Strong communication skills and ability to bridge the gap between art and engineering.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Up-to-date portfolio.
Will be a plus:
Experience creating or supporting VFX in Unreal Engine.
Strong programming and scripting skills in C++ and Python.
Knowledge of Houdini workflows for procedural content generation.
Experience with version control systems (Perforce, Git).
Background in sports games or large-scale simulation projects.
Familiarity with automation pipelines for asset processing.
