The main focus of the role is developing and improving the infrastructure for load testing. The product is already covered by the main tests, and at this stage the team is focused on enhancing existing solutions. Experience in load testing is required.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and improve the existing Python-based framework for load testing;

• Create tools and utilities to automate load testing processes;

• Improve the monitoring system and visualization of test results;

• Enhance reporting tools;

• Independently identify tasks for improving processes and tools;

• Participate in load testing and analyze results;

• Detect and analyze performance bottlenecks, plan experiments for deep analysis;

• Take part in architectural decisions related to the development of load testing infrastructure.

Skills and requirements:

• Strong knowledge of Python — decorators, descriptors, multithreading, asynchronous requests, working with protobuf, gRPC protocol, etc;

• Experience with Locust or similar load testing tools;

• Understanding of load testing principles: types of load, metrics, load profiles;

• Experience analyzing load testing results and identifying bottlenecks;

• Ability to design experiments to detect performance issues;

• Understanding of microservice architecture, experience with Kubernetes and CI/CD;

• High level of independence — ability to identify problems and suggest solutions without constant supervision;

• Ability to form your own task backlog and prioritize work;

• Analytical thinking and a systematic approach;

• Willingness to dive into complex technical problems.

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience writing plugins/extensions for load testing tools;

• Experience developing frameworks or complex Python libraries;

• Knowledge of Go (used in some of our microservices);

• Experience working with PostgreSQL and analyzing database load;

• Experience in application performance optimization.
