Strikerz is an international game company and the developer of UFL, a football simulator. We are looking for a product lawyer to own the legal side of the product: from reviewing new mechanics to compliance with platform requirements and worldwide regulations, with a focus on the EU, UK and US.

This is a role inside the product: you work directly with product, marketing and support teams and take part in decisions before release, rather than commenting on them afterwards.

What you will be doing:

• Review new features and mechanics (monetization, UI flows, user acquisition campaigns, etc.) and provide legal recommendations to product teams.

• Advise product and business teams on consumer protection, gaming compliance and regulatory risk, including advertising, subscriptions, discounts, promotions and price displays.

• Support game launches in new markets and/or on new platforms: map pre-release requirements and local compliance, assess legal risks.

• Assess product compliance with platform requirements (App Store, Google Play, PlayStation, Xbox).

• Own compliance with EU consumer and digital regulation (Consumer Rights Directive, Unfair Commercial Practices Directive, Digital Content Directive, Digital Services Act, etc.), as well as consumer protection and online safety laws in other countries.

• Manage age ratings (e.g. IARC, rating agencies (PEGI, ESRB, USK, etc.) and platform-specific systems).

• Design and implement age verification and child safety processes in line with platform and regulatory standards.

• Draft and maintain the EULA and rules for contests and community events, and coordinate their rollout in user flows and internal processes.

• Design and improve player-facing processes. Prepare responses to player inquiries, complaints and legal claims on regulatory matters, and create regulatory guidance and escalation materials for customer support.

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements with service providers and vendors, advertising networks and platforms.

• Support commercial deals with partners, brands, clubs, agencies, ambassadors and marketing partners: structure, draft and negotiate licensing, marketing, publishing and partnership agreements.

It would be great if you can also:

• Take on product-related IP matters: trademarks, copyright, use of third-party content and licences, and responses to infringement.

• Contribute to content moderation policies and their alignment with platform and partner requirements.

• Take ownership of monitoring regulatory developments and translating them into practical changes to product and internal processes.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s (or similar) degree in Law.

• 5–7+ years of relevant experience in a law firm, in-house legal function or a combination of both, with substantial exposure to IT or interactive entertainment.

• Hands-on experience with product compliance and EU consumer protection.

• Working knowledge of platform requirements (mobile and console stores) and age rating systems.

• Experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements under English law.

• Ability to advise in an “options - residual risk - recommendation” format and to work to product deadlines.

• Fluent Russian and English, including legal English.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with mobile and console releases and launches in new regional markets.

• Experience with mobile and F2P monetization: in-game currencies, loot boxes, battle passes, subscriptions.

• Working understanding of GDPR and privacy requirements applicable to games.

• Experience building legal processes in a growing team.
