We are looking for a BI analyst (Tableau stack) to take on a pivotal role in optimising our Business Intelligence operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving improvements, contributing to strategy, processes, and governance of our Tableau reporting ecosystem, from data modeling to user adoption. This position requires a mix of technical mastery in Tableau, analytical acumen, and teamwork skills to foster informed decision-making throughout the organization.

Responsibilities

• Stakeholder management: gather and challenge requirements, align priorities and expectations across business/tech stakeholders, translate business needs into clear BI deliverables, and proactively manage conflicts/trade-offs (scope, timelines, data constraints)

• Development and deployment: design, develop, publish, test, and troubleshoot Tableau dashboards and data sources. Additionally, oversee and ensure the quality of these processes as performed by other report creators within the team. Define development standards and conduct code-/viz-reviews for other authors

• Quality assurance and optimization: establish and monitor performance SLAs for dashboards. Perform data analysis, validation, and mapping/design to guarantee the accuracy and relevance of reports. Aim to optimize report loading times, enhancing report performance for speed and resource efficiency

• Governance, access & security management: implement and manage role-based access controls, user groups, and data security policies

• Data architecture and modeling: work closely with the DWH team on the design and implementation of datamarts for enhanced reporting capabilities

• Documentation and process management: maintain detailed documentation for each report, including objectives, metrics, and data sources. Oversee the JIRA process for report creation, from initial request to peer review and final deployment

• Training and support: provide essential training, knowledge transfer, and support to users, improving their ability to effectively interact with Tableau reports

• Data visualization: utilize advanced data visualization techniques to create dashboards that are not only clear and impactful but also visually attractive. Develop, implement and follow established style guides for reporting to maintain consistency and high quality in all visual presentations balancing aesthetic choices with analytical clarity and performance best practices.

Skills and requirements

• 7+ years total BI experience, incl. 5+ years hands-on Tableau

• Advance SQL understanding & writing optimized queries

• Thorough understanding of data warehouses and dimensional models

• Ability to perform the required data wrangling, be it live or TDE or data blending etc. before connecting to data source from Tableau client

• Experience generating operational reports, BI reports, dashboards and data models for various business units through advanced use of Tableau, including Level-of-Detail (LOD) expressions, performance recording, and Tableau Server/Cloud administrative views

• Excellent communication & stakeholder management skills;

• Experience scoping, requirements gathering, implementation, training and ongoing maintenance of multiple reporting systems and related tools

• Proven track record mentoring or managing other BI developers/analysts

• Experience employing root cause analysis for data quality analysis, redundancy elimination, source identification and data reconciliation.

Will be a plus

• Domain knowledge of game-analytics pipelines and player-centric KPIs

• A passion for football simulation games

• Hands-on experience with ClickHouse or other column-store DBs (e.g., BigQuery, Redshift, etc)

• Tableau certifications

• Experience in participating in data visualization competitions, such as Tableau Public challenges.
